WHEN YOU TAKE A LOOK AT CREIGHTON MEN’S BASKETBALL BROTHERLY LOVE IS EVIDENT. THE MOST OBVIOUS EXAMPLE CAN BE FOUND IN THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN SOPHOMORE ARTHUR KALAMA, RYAN NEMBHARD AND TREY ALEXANDER. THOSE ARE MY GUYS, YOU KNOW, LIKE WE’RE ALWAYS IN THE GYM TOGETHER. WE GET BETTER TOGETHER AND, YOU KNOW, WE HOLD EACH OTHER ACCOUNTABLE AT THE END OF THE DAY. AND I FEEL LIKE THAT HERE. AND THAT’S BROUGHT US CLOSER TOGETHER AS INDIVIDUAL US AND BROUGHT US CLOSER TOGETHER ON THE BASKETBALL COURT. NOT JUST BROTHERS ON THE COURT, BUT OFF OF IT AS WELL, SPENDING LOTS OF TIME WITH EACH OTHER AS ROOMMATES AND BONDING OVER MORE THAN BASKETBALL. WE LIKE SHOPPING GO INTO THE MONTHS OF JUST HANGING OUT. HONESTLY, WE JUST LIKE HAVING A GOOD TIME. I FEEL LIKE THE BEST THING FOR ME IS JUST JOKING AROUND. I LOVE HAVING FUN, LOVE LAUGHING, AND THAT’S THE BEST PART ABOUT RYAN FIRST MET ANDRE WHEN ALL THREE ARRIVED ON CAMPUS AS FRESHMEN, BUT ANDRE HAD HISTORY ON THE HARDWOOD DATING BACK TO THE SEVENTH GRADE. SEVENTH GRADE SUMMER. HE PLAYED AGAINST HIS EIGHTH. WE BEAT THEM BY LIKE 30, BUT HE WAS HOOPING THAT GAME. WE HAD ABOUT LIKE 21 ON US. I THINK THEY JUST LIKE, WERE SUPER TALL. WE WERE IN THE SEVENTH GRADE AND LIKE THEY HAD LIKE A SIX FOOT NINE GUY. ART WAS ALREADY LIKE SIX SIX, SO LIKE IT REALLY WASN’T FAIR FROM HOOPING AGAINST EACH OTHER TO HOOPING TOGETHER. THE TRIO ARE HOPING THEY CAN HELP LEAD CREAN TO A SWEET 16 VICTORY AND MARCH ON TO THE ELITE EIGHT AT THE KFC YUM CENTER.
