FORMER WHITE HOUSE STAFF MEMBER TO THE METRO INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES HOSTED A DISCUSSION CALLED CONVERSATIONS FOR CHANGE WITH KAL PENN TODAY. IT WAS AT THE HOLLAND PERFORMING ARTS CENTER, AND THE SERIES FOCUSED ON CLIMATE CHANGE POLITICS, ADVOCACY AND OTHER BIG ISSUES ACROSS THE COUNTRY. PENN, KNOWN FOR HIS WORK IN HOLLYWOOD, ALSO SERVED AS ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR FOR THE WHITE HOUSE’S OFFICE OF PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT. An Omaha organization welcomed a well-known actor — and former White House staff member — to the Metro.Inclusive Communities hosted a discussion called "Conversations for Change" with Kal Penn on Tuesday at the Holland Performing Arts Center.The series focused on climate change, politics, advocacy and other big issues across the country.Penn, known for his work in Hollywood, also served as associate director for the White House's office of public engagement."It showed me for the first time the extent to which our individual voices really matter when we empower them.
