Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert delivered her annual State of the City address on Tuesday.In the speech, she talked about the strides the city has taken when it comes to public safety.The mayor also said she will take action to address the shrinking recruiting numbers the Omaha Police Department is experiencing.In addition, Stothert talked about the importance of growing the city though several different redevelopment projects. "To reach our city's potential Omaha must reaffirm and reinforce the urban core historic role as a cultural residential and employment part of the region. The streetcar will do that.
