Lieutenant Paul Hanson with Omaha Police said Samantha Zellmar, 32, caught two juveniles trying to break into her SUV.

Zellmar confronted them and one of the juveniles fired a gun in her direction, hitting the house. The suspects then ran away.

No children at the day care were hurt. Zellmar was grazed by a bullet but she did not require treatment or transport to a hospital.

Tanya Morales' two young boys were at the childcare center at the time of the shooting. She rushed to pick them up shortly after dropping them off.
