ALL RIGHT. THANKS, CAITLIN. WELL, THE OMAHA PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD IS CONSIDERING A $35,000 CONTRACT WITH THE RECRUITING FIRM TO LOOK FOR A NEW SUPERINTENDENT. THE FIRM IS CALLED J.R. RECRUITING. ACCORDING TO THE CONTRACT. HALF OF THE FUNDS WILL BE PAID INITIALLY WHILE 25% WILL BE PAID AFTER THE STAKEHOLDER MEETINGS. THEN THE REST OF THE MONEY WILL BE PAID AFTER A SUCCESSFUL SEARCH. OPIA SAYS IT WILL REIMBURSE THE CONSULTANT FOR TRAVEL EXPENSES

The Omaha Public School board approved a $35,000 contract with a recruiting firm to look for a new superintendent.According to the contract, the firm, GR Recruiting, would receive half of the funds initially as part of the search to replace Cheryl Logan.Then, 25% will be paid after the stakeholder meetings and the rest of the money would be paid after a successful search.The district said it will reimburse the consultant for travel expenses up to $10,000.Logan announced her resignation as the district's superintendent in December. She will be leaving her position in June.Matthew Ray, currently the district's deputy superintendent, was selected to serve as interim superintendent after Logan's departure.
