It's the day in between games for the Creon Blue Jays as the Jays arrive to their closed practice out in Denver before facing Baylor tomorrow in the round of 32 the Bears and Jays do have *** history between the two schools. Matt Foster takes *** look back before looking ahead in Denver. That's not how you draw up your last game. You work for something for so long and you have it, you know, pried away from you in *** matter of *** couple of hours. That was the scene in the Creon locker room the last time they faced Baylor in the NCAA tournament. That was all the way back in 2014 when the six seeded Bears upset the third seeded Blue Jays in *** team led by Doug mcdermott. Now that was nine years ago, *** lot has changed since then for both programs. All the players on the current rosters were around in middle school when that game was played, but both Greg mcdermott and Scott Drew were still the head coaches back then and they remember that game well, for different reasons, nobody has to remind me, uh, that was ***, that was *** tough, tough day, uh, for, for our program. Um And, uh, but, you know, the credit went to Baylor was just one of those games they played. Terrific and we played about as poorly as we could play. Uh, and that happens every once in *** while. I just hope it doesn't happen on that stage. I mean, that was, that was, uh, *** long time ago. Um, I had *** lot more hair back then. We, we were *** different team. We had *** lot of size length. We had *** good zone and I know that was *** game that they just missed *** bunch of shots. They had some good looks and some games they go in some games. They don't. Coach mcdermott is *** great coach and had *** lot of success and they're never going to beat themselves and you really got to be on point. It's role reversal this time around Creighton, the six seed Baylor, the three seed and the Jays hoping for *** little payback on Sunday here in Denver reporting at Ballerina Matt Foster K E TV.
