Player of the Year

Paige Kohler, Sr., Olmsted Falls

The definition of a complete point guard. Kohler will go down as one of the greatest players to step foot on Olmsted Falls’ hardwood floor. She is a two-time first-team All-Ohioan who averaged 16.5 points per game. She did much more than score. Kohler was one of the Bulldogs’ toughest defenders, handled ball distribution and was one of the best shooters in the area. She went throughout her high school career as a four-time SWC champion, three-time district champion and state runner-up. She was named Division I Northeast Lakes District Player of the Year, Southwestern Conference co-Player of the Year and will take her talents to play for the University at Buffalo.

Coach of the Year

Jordan Eaton, Olmsted Falls
This season's honor was close between Eaton and Midview's Brittney McNamara. Both programs' regional championships were their first in history. However, the Bulldogs went undefeated in the Southwestern Conference for its fifth straight championship and walked away with a Division I state runner-up banner. Olmsted Falls went 26-4 (14-0 in SWC). Their lone in-state losses were to Mason (Division I state poll champs) and Princeton in the Division I state championship game.

First team

Grace Kingery, Jr., North Ridgeville

Became North Ridgeville's all-time leading scorer as a junior. Lethal scorer with impeccable range and length. Kingery was named first team all-SWC, Lorain County, and all-district.

Mary Meng, Sr., Midview

The winner of the 2023 Lorain County Ms. Basketball award. The 6-5 Middie towered over opponents. Blocked over 3 shots per game and averaged 17 points and 17 rebounds per game. Meng was a first-team all-county, all-district and all-SWC selection.

Olivia DiFranco, Jr., Midview

Became Midview's all-time leading scorer in the season finale. Played a pivotal role for Midview to advance to the Division I final four. Averaged 17 points per game and is one of the team's best defenders. She made first-team all-county, all-SWC and was a second-team all-district selection. DiFranco will be one of the favorites in a deep class for Lorain County Ms. Basketball.

Carter McCray, Sr., Elyria Catholic

McCray dominated the interior for Elyria Catholic to earn player of the year honors for the Great Lakes Conference and Northeast Lakes District for Division II. She averaged 18.5 points per game and around 3.5 blocks per game. She is signed to play college basketball for Northern Kentucky University.

She was the Lorain County Division III Player of the Year and a first-team selection for the all-district and all-LC8 team.

Ava Patti, Jr., Rocky River

Patti is a talented wing who can play like a guard. The 2-sport All-Ohioan was named second-team all-district and the GLC's Defensive Player of the Year. She averaged 14.9 points per game, which helped pave the way for the Pirates to appear in a Division I district final.

Mia Kalich, Sr., Olmsted Falls

If Olmsted Falls was the Golden State Warriors, Mia Kalich would be a Bulldogs' version of Draymond Green. She is one of the most versatile players in the area if not the state. Passing, interior defense, perimeter defense, full-court pressing, ball handling, Kalich can do it all. She was named the SWC's co-Player of the Year with Kohler.

Danielle Cameron, Jr., Olmsted Falls

On the brightest stage, Cameron shined. Her 12 3-pointers in a state tournament is an OHSAA record. She averaged 15.3 points per game to earn second-team all-district and first-team all-SWC honors. Cameron will be one of the many talented upcoming seniors in the class of 2024.
