Okay so you took the gate out. Here’s a radical idea. Replace it. The advances in metallurgy since the 50s is astounding. That gate could most likely be replaced with one that has 100 times the strength and weight a tenth as much. Problem solved. And yes they need to kick the Seattle moron off the board and send him back to his failure of a state.
