SILVER ALERT CANCELLED FOR CONNERSVILLE MAN
(Connersville, IN)--Indiana’s state website was indicating Friday morning that a Silver Alert that had been issued Thursday for a missing for a Connersville man has been cancelled. The Silver Alert was issued for 66-year-old Roger Mills, who was last seen late Wednesday night driving an older van. The alert said that he was believed to be in extreme danger. Friday morning, though, the website said the alert had been cancelled without detailing how it was resolved.
Home destroyed by blaze, 2 others badly damaged
At 5:50 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, Batesville Fire Department was called to the Scott and Tammy Miller residence on BoB White Blvd. in Quail Meadows of Batesville. Todd Schutte, Chief of the Batesville Fire Department, told The Versailles Republican that the fire started at the back of the house with a four-wheeler. The fire spread and went under the awning on the back porch and then moved into the house and garage. The home is a total loss, but everyone made it out safely with no major injuries.

Batesville Police Announce Speed Limit Change on State Road 129
The speed limit has been reduced on a portion of SR 129. (Batesville, Ind.) - There is a new traffic regulation in place within the city limits of Batesville. The Batesville Police Department announced Thursday that the speed limit on State Road 129 has been reduced to 35 MPH from State Road 46 to Winding Way.
