Meet Poppy, voted cutest cat in NH and Maine in our contest

We have to wait a bit longer to find out who's voted into office in the midterm elections. But the title of cutest cat in New Hampshire and Maine is decided. Poppy has won the vote of Seacoastonline.com and Fosters.com readers. Owner Missy Young says she's ("humbly") not surprised. "It’s not every day you get to lay eyes on a precious, Puss in Boots lookalike wonderful little owl baby!" she said. "We are so lucky to have her. We loved seeing all the other adorable cats in (Maine and New Hampshire). Cat people are the best!" Poppy emerged as the winner of a contest that started with 200 cats and involved five rounds of voting. Young and her boyfriend, Will Geoghegan, live in Portland, Maine, with Poppy, which she calls their "only child, and she's as spoiled as you'd expect." Poppy is a Scottish Fold cat the couple adopted through a North Carolina breeder. She said she became aware of the breed because Taylor Swift famously has two of them. "We’ve had Poppy for just shy of 2 years and she has brought us nothing but joy, smiles, and laughs," Young said. "I was finally in a place to settle
