Instruction: For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Target Area: McIntosh; Muskogee; Okmulgee; Wagoner. The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for several counties in northeastern and southeastern Oklahoma until 1215 AM CDT. A severe thunderstorm, capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail, was located near Boynton and moving southeast at 30 mph. The affected areas include Okmulgee, Checotah, Haskell, Warner, Morris, Oktaha, Taft, Boynton, Council Hill, Rentiesville, Bald Hill, Lake Eufaula State Park, Keefeton, Wainwright, Summit, Hitchita, Jamesville, Pierce, Eram, and Choska. Interstate 40 between mile markers 252 and 276 is also included in the warning. Expect potential damage to vehicles, roofs, siding, and trees from the hail and wind.
