Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers will be heading to Little Rock, Ark., to help with tornado relief.
“Prayers for Oklahoma, Arkansas, Iowa, Tennessee, Illinois, Mississippi & others impacted by weather yesterday are needed," said Jason Yarbrough, the disaster relief state director for Oklahoma Baptists. "Oklahoma Baptist DR volunteers are responding to the fires across our state - helping with food for impacted families and first responders. We will also start sending teams to North Little Rock, Arkansas in response to the catastrophic tornadoes that came through that area.”
Roughly 30 volunteers will leave Owasso Sunday morning to leave for Little Rock.
Crews will have a feeding unit and equipment to help the area following Friday night's storms.
Volunteers will stay for a week, possibly longer based on need.
