THAT’S RIGHT, MIKA. MULTIPLE FAMILIES WITHOUT A HOME TONIGHT, BUT CREWS SAY THEY WERE WORRIED ABOUT PEOPLE BEING TRAPPED INSIDE WHEN OKC FIRE GOT THERE, EVERYONE WAS ALREADY OUT. IT’S KIND OF CHAOTIC. THERE WERE A LOT OF PEOPLE RUNNING AROUND TELLING US THAT PEOPLE TRAPPED WHEN OKC FIRE WENT IN FOR THEMSELVES. NO ONE WAS INSIDE. WE DID IT. EXTENSIVE PRIMARY SEARCH WHERE WE GO THROUGH, DO A QUICK CHECK AND THEN WE DID AN EXTENSIVE SECONDARY SEARCH WHERE IT’S IT’S MORE METHODICAL, SLOWER AND WE COULD NOT FIND ANYBODY FIRE INVESTIGATORS ARE ON THE SCENE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW IT STARTED. THERE WERE PEOPLE ON SCENE THAT STATED THERE WAS A KITCHEN FIRE. IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE IT WAS A KITCHEN FIRE. IT LOOKS LIKE IT STARTED IN THE ATTIC. WHILE THERE ARE NO INJURIES, THERE IS SOME HEAVY DAMAGE. I THINK THREE FAMILIES ARE GOING TO BE DISPLACED. BUT IT LOOKS LIKE MOST OF THE HEAVY DAMAGE WAS UP IN THE ATTIC. THE COMMON ATTIC THAT RUNS THAT WHOLE BUILDING BEHIND US. WE SAW FAMILIES EMBRACING IN TEARS AFTER THIS FIRE WAS OUT. THOSE WHO DON’T HAVE A PLACE TO STAY, WE’LL HAVE SOME HELP. WE HAVE OUR COMMUNITY SERVICE LIAISONS HERE ON SCENE, WORKING WITH THEM. AND LIKE I SAID, THEY’RE GOING TO HELP THEM GET PUT UP FOR THE NIGHT, EITHER WITH THE AMERICAN RED CROSS OR WITH SOMEBODY HERE IN THE APARTMENT COMPLEX. OKLAHOMA CITY FIRE SAYS THERE
