OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) - Police say a woman was leaving a liquor store when she got upset with another driver and punched the accelerator.
Authorities say words were exchanged between Theresa Bensinger and two people which led to Bensinger getting out of her car with a gun and threatening the victims with it.
Witnesses say when they told Bensinger to put the gun away, she did, and then she drove home.
"She was there after obtaining consent to search the gun was in the vehicle and she was placed under arrest. It is important to note that nobody was hurt and no shots were fired," says Master Sergeant Gary Knight of the Oklahoma City Police Department.
According to them, the victims in this case did everything right.
"You cooperate and you do everything to survive it and that is what they did," added Knight.
Records show Bensinger is facing Aggravated Assault charges.
