OKC Police Investigate 2 Deadly Weekend Shootings

Oklahoma City Police said multiple people were shot and two people were killed during multiple incidents this past weekend.

A man surrendered to police after a body was found and a haunting call from a child saying their dad had just shot someone.

Oklahoma City Police said multiple people were shot and two people were killed this weekend. They said all of the cases stem from domestic disputes.

Oklahoma City police officers and tactical team had a busy Saturday.

Police said they got a call from a witness saying they visited a home near Northwest 39th Street and they saw a body.

“When officers arrived they tried to make contact with the resident inside, Mr. Harris,” Cpt. Valerie Littlejohn said.

After several hours, Jake Harris surrendered. Harris was taken into custody, and police found a dead woman in the home.

“It was an argument between the suspect and the victim and during this agreement she was shot with a shotgun,” Cpt. Littlejohn said.

He's booked on several complaints one being first-degree murder.

Later that evening, the tactical team was called out again this time to an apartment complex on the West 1-240 service road. Two women were shot and one was killed. According to the court documents, the 911 caller said "dad shot mom."

“The suspect had came in from out of town to meet with the victim and their child. There was a disagreement concerning him getting to see the child,” Cpt. Littlejohn said.

After a short standoff, police took Dario Acebedo into custody.

The next day police arrest another man involved in a domestic disagreement that ended in a shooting.

“One victim had more serious injuries and the other one had minor gunshot wounds both were transported to the hospital,” Cpt. Littlejohn said.

This happened on SW 26th street. Police arrested Terry Lane who had fled the scene. They said he was in an off and on relationship with one of the victims.
