This year, 130 participants joined the 2023 Pineway Ponds 5k Run/Walk presented by Ogden Parks and Recreation and the Kiwanis Club of Spencerport. In a collaboration between the Outdoor Program and Competitive Sports, Weber State University hosted its semiannual crate stacking event on Sept. 19 and 21. Crate stacking is the act of stacking milk crates while simultaneously climbing them. The competitor to stack and mount the highest tower wins. Climbers are harnessed into a pulley system that prevents them from falling.

Since 1974, Weber State University’s men’s club baseball has experienced the highs and lows that any good baseball team does. More recently, there has been some growth. In 2021, they won four games, and within two years, they doubled their wins and took third in their conference last year. In 2022, they started with four players and now have grown to 21, allowing them opportunities to play more competitively.

The Weber Warriors defeated rival Roy Royals in the 2022 first round of the playoffs before losing to the Farmington Phoenix in the second round. The playoff win over the Royals was a boost for the team after a tough season that saw the Warriors finish with a 3-9 record—the new season looked bright for the Warriors, with many returning starters and players who gained experience as underclassmen last season. Returning starting free safety, Braylon Parker is a crucial player for the Warriors, and he has been counted on to help the team take that next step to a winning season.

I am involved in Morgan in many ways such as volleyball, clubs, and volunteering in events out of school.
