I am one of those people who enjoys to “live in the moment.” I don’t put much thought into the future because it could change at the drop of a hat, and I don’t like to think about the past because what’s done is done. With that being said, I do like to think of all of the things I have to look forward to in life as I grow up just because it keeps me motivated. There are so many opportunities for growth at 19 I haven't quite gotten to experience yet, and there are so many adventures awaiting me as my life progresses. These are just a few of the millions of things that many people have to look forward to in life.

    Turning 18

    Getting your first REAL job/paycheck

Heading to college and being on your own

Stepping out of your comfort zone

Not having a care in the world (for a short time)

    Finding a hobby

Spontaneous road trips with your best friends

    Getting your first boyfriend/girlfriend

Failing, but learning from your failures

    Living in your own apartment

    Graduating college

Stepping out into the real world on your own

Learning how to be independent, and taking your time to figure out what you want in life

    Getting your first credit card

    Traveling the world

    Buying your first car

The many sunsets/sunrises that will take your breath away

    Meeting your future husband/wife

Getting married to the love of your life

    Planning your wedding

    Going on your honeymoon

    Buying your first house

    Designing/decorating your first home

Having “adult” parties where you get to host

Sitting on the couch drinking wine/beer with your spouse after a long day at work

Finding out you're going to be a parent

    Having your first child

    Building a family

Learning how to raise a child to the best of your ability, and not being perfect at it

    Watching your parents become grandparents

Spending sunny days outside enjoying the weather with all your favorite people

Spending rainy days in your pajamas, watching movies, and never leaving the couch

Your first Christmas/Holiday as a family

Brunch on a Sunday morning with family and friends

    Family vacations

Sending your first kid off to kindergarten

Impulsive date nights away from home

Watching your kids graduate high school and college

Watching your kids find their soul mate

    Becoming a grandparent

Making a bucket list and checking things off

Achieving happiness/being content with your life

    Leaving a legacy

When you are feeling like you don’t have any motivation to keep moving when you’re in a tough spot in life, think of all the amazing things you have to look forward to and it will keep you going. Look forward to the future with a positive attitude.
