State Track champions

Three individuals and one team from Lincoln County won state championships in their track and field events at the 1B/2B State Championship meet in Yakima Thursday, May 25-Saturday, May 27. Individual champions included Odessa's Hayden Schuh (top, left), who won the 1B 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles along with a fourth-place finish in 1B javelin, Odessa's Lily Starkel (top, third from left), who won the 1B high jump, and Davenport's Glenna Soliday (right), who won the 2B 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles. Odessa's 4X100 relay team of Schuh, Alexis Eden, Starkel and Reegan Carstensen (top) also took home a state championship. Turn to the B section for much more State Track coverage.
