PERMIAN BASIN (KMID/KPEJ) – Here are the top stories from around the Basin for the week ending on April 26th.

After 23 innings and a 25-and-a-half-hour battle, the Midland Bulldogs beat Odessa 4-3 in the longest high school baseball game in Texas UIL history. This surpasses the previous record of 22 innings. You can learn more about the game and where it falls among the longest games worldwide here .

A popular radio DJ from Odessa, and his family, were among four killed in an Ector County Crash Saturday afternoon. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported another driver going the wrong direction on 42 nd Street, before striking the vehicle of the radio host. You can learn more about the crash here .

The Odessa Police Department responded to a major crash in the 4100 block of east 42 nd Street, resulting in the death of one Odessa woman. Investigation revealed she veered off the road for an unknown reason before hitting a power pole. You can learn more about this incident here .

An Odessa man was arrested last week after investigators said he allegedly admitted to selling fentanyl in Odessa. He was arrested and charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, along with several traffic offenses, before later being released on a combined $75,500 bond.
