Sheriff Griffis speaks at LULAC ‘Breakfast with a Champion’

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – The League of United Latin American Citizens continued its “Breakfast with a Champion” series, with breakfast at La Margarita on Tuesday.

Ector County Sheriff Mike Griffis was the special guest and he said he was giving tips to Odessans on how to stop scammers, as well as how the Ector County Sheriff’s Office can help.

“I gave a little talk about scams and how to keep from getting scammed, especially the older folks, you know, if you’re unsure about something as somebody, a family member, call us, we don’t want anybody losing their life savings,” said Sheriff Griffis.

LULAC said “Breakfast with a Champion” is held monthly and it’s a great way to hear directly from local leaders.
