Teams compete for best crawfish at the Budweiser Ocean Springs Crawfish Cookoff

It’s become one of the largest one-day crawfish events on the Gulf Coast.

The fifth annual Budweiser Downtown Ocean Springs Crawfish Cook Off saw over 25 teams competing for the crown of best crawfish in Downtown Ocean Springs.

Guests were able to enjoy endless amounts of crawfish, live music, and a tasty beverage.

Teams were excited to let guests taste their unique recipes as they made their rounds throughout the cookoff.

Captain of Dewey Dew Bugz Crawfish team Larry Duron says his plates were a big hit at the festival.  “The Cajun corn has been the buzz, that’s my wife’s recipe. As you can see, we’re the home of the Cajun street corn. So, that’s a specialty we came up with. I think we served over 400 pieces and they’re all gone.”

Families who came out to enjoy the cookoff were the ones who decided the winners.
