OCPD conducting death investigation

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City Police are conducting a death investigation that was reported Sunday night.

Police responded to a restaurant parking lot in the area of 116th Street just after 11 p.m. for a report of an adult male that was found unconscious inside a vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy. At this point, we’re told there is no foul play expected, and no threat to the community. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.

This remains an active investigation.
