Ocean City Police Find Man Dead in Car
OCEAN CITY, Md. - The Ocean City Police Department are investigating the death of a man found in his car Sunday night near the Greene Turtle on Coastal Highway. Police say they arrived to the parking lot near 116th street just after 11 p.m. last night on reports of a man unconscious in his vehicle. Officers began lifesaving efforts until Emergency Services arrived, but the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police responded to a restaurant parking lot in the area of 116th Street just after 11 p.m. for a report of an adult male that was found unconscious inside a vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ocean Pines Announces Departure of Police Chief, Board Director
OCEAN PINES, Md. - Ocean Pines announced two important community members were leaving their positions today. The first announcement came earlier today with the news that Board Director Frank Daly was leaving. According to a statement from Ocean Pines Pines Association President Doug Parks, Daly had sold his home in Ocean Pines to move to Florida. Governing documents of the Association stipulate Board members must be a homeowner within the Pines. Daly’s resignation was effective immediately.
OCPD Investigating Armed Robbery in Montego Bay
Ocean City Police are investigating an armed robbery on Constitutional Avenue in Montego Bay. Police say the victim was outside and was approached by three black males who pointed a handgun at the victim – who turned over several personal item. The three drove off in beige SUV – possibly a Nissan with a missing front passenger-side fender. The tag was white with red and blue writing – possibly North Carolina. Crash involving police car at Route 1, Route 16 intersection
A crash involving a Fenwick Island police car occurred about 4:20 p.m., June 4, at the intersection of Route 1 and Route 16 near Milton. Two people were transported to Beebe Healthcare with minor injuries. More information will be provided if it is released.

Sussex County Drug Unit Arrests Three for Crack, Heroin
SUSSEX COUNTY, DE – Three men were arrested on Thursday by the Sussex County Drug Unit. After a four-month investigation, detectives executed a search warrant on a Dagsboro residence suspected of drug dealings. The arrested men were identified as 34-year-old Clarence Mobley, 41-year-old Wilbert Perkins, and 28-year-old Devontay Jones, all residents of Dagsboro. Detectives found approximately 25.13 grams of crack cocaine and 1.365 grams of suspected heroin on Mobley, who was arrested during a traffic stop while leaving the property. At the property, Perkins was found with 10.28 grams of crack cocaine and 0.819 grams of suspected heroin. SNOW HILL – A Berlin man has been sentenced to 50 years for child abuse following a conviction in March. On May 19, Connor Kelly, age 32, of Berlin, was sentenced to 50 years in the Division of Corrections for his conviction on the charges of one count of child abuse in the second degree, three counts of second-degree assault, and one count of neglect of a minor. He was found guilty by a jury after a week-long trial in the Worcester County Circuit Court on March 15. Judge Beau H. Oglesby presided over the case and imposed the sentence, which was the maximum sentence allowed by law.

Abandoned Van Set on Fire in Berlin
BERLIN, Md. - An investigation by the Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office has revealed a vehicle was intentionally set on fire today in Berlin. According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, the Berlin Volunteer Fire Company responded to reports of a burning vehicle just before 11 a.m. today at the intersection of Mary Road and Sinepuxent Road. Significant flames were seen throughout a Ford Tansit cargo van that had been abandoned on the side of the road. The fire was extinguished with additional minor damage to a nearby field.

Man Flees Police, Gets Stolen Car Stuck on Beach!
A Fenwick Island police officer attempted to stop this red Ford Mustang for speeding around 8:25 a.m. this past Sunday. The driver refused to stop and continued on Coastal Highway to Bethany Beach where he drove out onto the beach here at Ashwood Street, got stuck and was captured. He appeared to be under the influence of something and was taken to the hospital where police attempted for hours to get him identified, but he was uncooperative.

Two Arrested for Prescription Fraud
Two Maryland men have been arrested for trying to fraudulently obtain prescription medication from a Selbyville area pharmacy. Delaware State Police were called when a man tried to pick up a prescription for Oxycodone that was filled using eScript software stolen from a doctor’s office in New Jersey. The trooper tried to contact the man picking up the prescription, 23 year old Micah Lee of Silver Spring, who ran out and got into a car driven by 21 year old Bashir Abukar of Bowie, who drove off at a high rate of speed. Abukar struck a ditch and his vehicle became disabled on Bayard Road – both men were were taken to Troop 4 and charged with the following crimes:
