Obion Co. Graduations Wrap Up School Year In Style

Obion County, Tenn.–As another school year comes to a close, the Obion County School System recently celebrated the accomplishments of its graduating seniors from South Fulton High School and Obion County Central High School. The graduation ceremonies, held on the 19th of May, were filled with pride, excitement, and gratitude.

South Fulton High School Graduation: The first graduation ceremony of the evening took place at 5:30 pm at South Fulton High School. The event was a culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance by the graduating students. Lillian Holzner was honored as the Valedictorian, while Logan Cromika received recognition as the Salutatorian. Their outstanding academic achievements and contributions to their school community were celebrated during the ceremony.

A special moment of inspiration was delivered by Tim, a school board member and South Fulton alumni, who served as the key speaker. Tim’s address focused on the importance of perseverance in overcoming challenges and emphasized the significance of never giving up on one’s dreams. His words resonated deeply with the graduates and served as a reminder of their potential to make a positive impact in the world.

Obion County Central High School Graduation: At 7:30 pm, on the same evening, Obion County Central High School hosted its graduation ceremony. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and joy as the graduates prepared to embark on a new chapter in their lives. Lani Taylor was honored as the Valedictorian, recognizing her exceptional academic accomplishments, while Avery Hill was acknowledged as the Salutatorian for their outstanding achievements.

Both ceremonies proceeded smoothly, thanks to the collective efforts of the teachers at both schools. Their dedication to providing a supportive environment for the students ensured that the graduation ceremonies were memorable and well-organized.

The Obion County Sheriff’s Department played a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the events. They provided security at both ceremonies and led a convoy to swiftly and safely transport essential personnel from South Fulton High School to Obion County Central High School.

The contributions of Jake Clapper, the photographer at South Fulton High School, and Jason Aldridge, the photographer at Obion County Central High School, deserve special recognition. Their dedication to capturing the significant moment of diploma handoffs immortalized the graduates’ accomplishments, providing them with lasting memories.
