According to Allegheny County 911, police, fire and EMS crews were called to Plum Street and Dark Hollow Road at 5:52 p.m. Monday.

Oakmont fire chief Joe Flanick told Channel 11 that the fire took around 30 minutes to get under control and a power line that fell in front of one of the houses caused some complications for firefighters.

Flanick also said that both houses had been vacant for years.

There’s currently no word on the cause of the blaze, but both houses are total losses, Flanick said.

Dispatch said no one was injured in the blaze.
