Alameda Co. judge robbed at gunpoint in Oakland, sheriff says
An Alameda County judge was robbed at gunpoint Thursday morning, according to the sheriff's office.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- An Alameda County judge was robbed at gunpoint Thursday morning, according to the sheriff's office. They say it happened in a parking garage near 13th Street at Madison Street in Oakland at around 8:50 a.m.

Three male suspects wearing masks robbed Judge Kevin Murphy of his Rolex watch, car keys and wallet, among other belongings, at the Alco Park parking garage, sheriff's spokesperson Lt. Tya Modeste said.

Nine children ranging in age from 12 to 17 were arrested in connection to 35 robberies throughout Oakland, according to police.

"Fortunately, the judge was not injured. The Alameda County Sheriff's Office is working with the Oakland Police Department to gather leads and evidence," the office said in a statement.

Oakland police and sheriff's deputies are investigating. No one was in custody as of Thursday afternoon, Modeste said.
