Notre Dame Has Another Huge Recruiting Week Coming Up

A look at the top prospects that Notre Dame will be hosting this week during practices

Notre Dame is going to have yet another HUGE recruiting weekend coming up. The Irish have practice on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, and there will be a ton of players on campus, including a number of big time prospects for the Irish.

Here's a run down:

NOTRE DAME COMMITS

Leonard Moore, CB, Round Rock (Texas) High School - He'll be on campus Friday and Saturday.
Karson Hobbs, CB, Cincinnati (Ohio) Moeller - He'll be on campus for practice on Saturday

2024 PROSPECTS

Kaleb Beasley, CB, Nashville (Tenn.) Lipscomb
Aaron Scott, CB, Springfield (Ohio) High School

Getting Moore and Hobbs on campus the same weekend as Beasley and Scott is huge. They will be key to selling those guys to jumping on board. Notre Dame's "dream scenario" is to add one of Beasley, Scott or Jon Mitchell (who visited this past weekend) to the class along with Moore and Hobbs.

Kevin Heywood, OL, Warminster (Pa.) Archbishop Wood
Caleb Brewer, OL, Wyomissing (Pa.) High School

Heywood is one of the top tackles on Notre Dame's board, and the Irish need at least two tackles in this class. Brewer is a talented player and one of the top blockers on my board, but I'm not sure where he ranks on the Notre Dame board now that Joe Rudolph has taken over. We should get a much better feel this weekend.

Jacob Smith, DE, Cheshire (Conn.) Academy
Jerod Smith, DE, Cheshire (Conn.) Academy
Darien Mayo, DE, Olney (Md.) Good Counsel

The Smith twins will be on campus for two days. They have been visiting all over in recent weeks, so this will be Notre Dame's second chance to make a move for them both. Notre Dame sees Jacob as a Vyper and Jerod as a big end. Mayo is a very raw player but he oozes potential. He has elite size and upside, and this is will Notre Dame's first chance to make a move with him. Notre Dame will need to make a big splash with Mayo this weekend if it wants to be in the game here, and he's the kind of super high ceiling edge player the Irish want and need more of.

Cole Sullivan, LB, Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic
Bradley Shaw, LB, Hoover (Ala.) High School

Sullivan will be on campus on Friday and Saturday, and Shaw will be on campus on Wednesday. I'm not quite sure where Sullivan ranks on the Notre Dame board, but we should have a much more clear view of that by the end of the weekend.

2025 PROSPECTS

Deuce Knight, QB, Lucedale (Miss.) George County

Knight is one of the best quarterbacks in the 2025 class and one of the top signal callers on the Notre Dame board. He's a smooth left handed quarterback that can make plays with his arm and legs. Knight will need development but his upside is tremendous. He'll be tough to get out of the south, but Notre Dame gets a chance to make a move this weekend.

Isaiah Mozee, WR, Lee's Summit (Mo.) High School
Carlton Smith, LB, Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances
Trey McNutt, S, Shaker Heights (Ohio) High School

Mozee, Smith and McNutt all received Pot of Gold offers. The fact all three set up visits this quickly shows they have early interest. McNutt will be on campus Wednesday, while Mozee and Smith will be on campus this Saturday for the scrimmage.

There are several other prospects on campus but this is the top group. It's a very talented group of players.
