    Dahl, Zweifel win Northfield mayoral primary; Beumer, Farley advance in council race

    Ruth Dahl and Erica Zweifel secured the most votes in Tuesday's Northfield mayoral primary, and the two are set to advance to the General Election in November.

    Dahl led the way with the highest vote tally (1,535), while Zweifel came in second (1,320). The two were well ahead of the rest of the pack, with current Mayor Rhonda Pownell coming in third (520). Next was Timothy Babbini, then Adam Gebler, George Zuccolotto and Michael Kirschling.

    City Council

    In the Ward 2 City Council race, Chad Beumer received the most votes at 704 and Emy Farley the second most at 341; both advance to the general election. Edward Malnar came in third.
