Law enforcement recognize Northfield and Rock Churches for help during 28-hour stand off
GERING , Neb. (KNEP) - Law enforcement recognized the Northfield and Rock Churches for their help during the 28-hour stand off that took place in Gering in September. The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, Gering Police Department, and FBI presented the Northfield and Rock Churches with a letter of gratitude Tuesday for supporting law enforcement during the lengthy standoff.
One Person Injured Tuesday Morning in Single Vehicle Accident
A Lakeville area man was injured in a single vehicle accident Tuesday in Otter Tail County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Lloyd Barima Donkor, (47) was injured when the westbound 2005 Mercedes he was driving “entered the median, crossed the eastbound lanes and came to rest in the south ditch of I94” in Oscar Township.
Man found guilty of racketeering loses appeal
A rural Faribault man sent to prison for racketeering has lost yet another appeal. Paul Scott Seeman, 49, of Cannon City Township, appealed his 2018 and 2022 convictions in Rice County for racketeering, receiving stolen property and providing false information on a vehicle title. A repeat drunken driver allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration over three times the legal limit after he was stopped by an officer in Northfield Friday evening.
