BUSHKILL TWP., Pa. - In Northampton County, video captures the moment a car slammed into the front of a home.

The impact was so severe that pieces of the home ended up in the road, dozens of feet away.

The crash happened around 7:15 p.m. Thursday in Bushkill Township in the 200 block of Daniels Road.

The car went completely through the front side of the home. A huge pile of debris flew from the house as the vehicle came back out and continued on for a short distance.

For a moment, only the car's front bumper touched the ground, the rest of the vehicle straight up in the air as it narrowly missed flipping over.

One of the two homes occupants, a 59-year-old female, was sitting in a chair located within the room that was struck by the vehicle and was injured. The injured female was transported via ambulance to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The driver, a 53-year-old male from Bethlehem, was also transported to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Police say speed has been determined to be a factor in the cause of the crash, which remains under investigation.
