Strongsville woman yells at ‘corrupt’ church workers: North Royalton Police Blotter

NORTH ROYALTON, Ohio

Disturbance: Royalwood Road

On Feb. 28, police were dispatched to St. Albert the Great Parish regarding a disturbance at the Royalton Road church.

An arriving officer located a Strongsville driver who was in the process of leaving the property. This was the second day in a row that she had been asked to leave the church for causing a disturbance.

The woman said she had wanted to talk to someone at the church about “how corrupt it is.”

The officer talked to the caller, who said the woman had come inside yelling about how the church was corrupt. Fearing for her safety, the caller told the unwanted woman to leave and went behind a locked door.

The woman was cited for trespassing and disorderly conduct.

Drunken driving: Royalton Road

On Feb. 27, police observed a black Chevrolet Cruze on Royalton Road. It turned out that the owner of the vehicle had a suspended license.

While talking to the Garfield Heights driver, the officer smelled booze.

Asked where she was coming from, the woman said a friend’s home. She also complained about being pulled over, noting that she wasn’t speeding -- despite the fact that she had a suspended license.

As for the odor, the woman denied drinking. She did have an unopened six-pack of beer in the Cruze.

After failing a field sobriety test, during which she lost her balance and asked if she needed a lawyer, the woman was arrested for drunken driving.

Later, she admitted to having a drink “about two hours ago.”

During a search of the Chevy, police found an open container of an alcoholic beverage. She was also cited for open container and driving with a suspended license.
