    North Plainfield man killed in Middlesex Borough worksite accident, police say

    MIDDLESEX BOROUGH – A North Plainfield man working at a Cedar Avenue company died Tuesday after a beam fell, striking him.

    The man was identified as Jimmy Fernando Parrales Mora, 46, police said.

    Around 7:17 a.m. Tuesday, Middlesex Borough police responded to Diamond Brite Metal, 333 Cedar Ave. for a report of a forklift accident.

    When police arrived, they found Parrales Mora unresponsive after a metal beam fell and struck him while he was working. Parrales Mora was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

    Representatives from the U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) responded to assist with the investigation, police said.
