Miami, FL - A Deacon and Catholic school teacher in North Miami has been arrested on charges of molesting two female juveniles on church grounds.
Police say 51-year-old Carlos Humberto Ramirez is facing charges of molestation on a child between the ages of 12 and 16.
Ramirez is a teacher and deacon at Holy Family Catholic High School, located at 14650 NE 12th Ave in North Miami.
Police say that on March 13th, an 11-year-old female student was submitting her classwork to Ramirez when he allegedly grabbed her waist and proceeded to touch her buttocks, squeezing twice.
Another female student, aged 12, witnessed the incident and when she went to turn in her classwork, Ramirez grabbed her waist and moved her in front of him.
According to the report, the second victim stated that Ramirez touched her buttocks, squeezed it twice, and touched her genitals with his erect penis while she was wearing a skirt and underwear.
Additionally, Ramirez kissed her on the cheek.
Both girls managed to leave the classroom without further incident.
Ramirez denied all allegations while being interviewed at the North Miami police station.
However, he was arrested and transported to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Ramirez appeared in Miami-Dade court on Thursday, where the judge ordered him to be held without bond.
The Archdiocese of Miami released a statement following Ramirez's arrest, acknowledging the allegations and expressing sympathy for all those affected by Ramirez's actions.
