Oklahoma is on the verge of making history at the 2023 Women's College World Series. The Sooners rode a 51-game winning streak into the final series against Florida State and will have a chance to complete the first championship three-peat since UCLA achieved the feat from 1988 to 1990.

The Sooners have sported one of softball's best offenses. They may no longer have star Jocelyn Alo on their roster, but Tiare Jennings, Jayda Coleman and Alyssa Brito have been a powerful, explosive trio that has sparked their lineup.

Meanwhile, ace Jordy Bahl has been among the best pitchers in softball, posting a 0.92 ERA during the regular season and having posted a 22-1 record as a starter during the season.

Patty Gasso's team will prove hard to beat, but Florida State is certainly no slouch. The No. 3-ranked team entering the NCAA softball tournament has ridden strong performances from top hitter Haley Mudge, slick-fielding shortstop Josie Muffley and ace pitcher Kathryn Sandercock to a championship series appearance.

Florida State made it to the final in 2021 as well before dropping the series to Oklahoma. Now, the Seminoles will get a chance to exact revenge and pull off a stunning upset to end the Sooners' historic season.
