The Sooners Bahl-ed out on Wednesday night.

Oklahoma softball's winning streak stretched to 52 games with a win over FSU in Game 1 of the Women's College World Series final. The streak is nice, but the ramifications of the 53rd will be much sweeter.

LIVE: Follow Oklahoma vs. FSU softball updates from Game 2

The Sooners are on the precipice of their third consecutive national championship, and they made a statement in their first game of the rematch of the 2021 finals vs. FSU. Pitcher Jordy Bahl blanked the Seminoles with a dazzling complete game, two-hit, 10-strikeout performance as Oklahoma's bats put up five runs in the matchup.

It's just the second time that FSU has been shut out in 2023, with the last effort coming in their regional round loss to South Carolina. Needless to say, the bats going cold on the biggest stage could spell disaster for FSU.
