GOT SOME NEW DETAILS TODAY. TWO JUVENILES ARRESTED AFTER MULTIPLE INCIDENTS. THE FIRST BEING A DRIVE-BY SHOOTING NEAR THIS NEIGHBORHOOD. THEN HOURS LATER, POLICE RESPONDED TO ATTEMPTED CAR BURGLARIES NEAR THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX. THAT’S WHERE THE SUSPECT AND AN OFFICER EXCHANGED GUNFIRE JUST AFTER MIDNIGHT MONDAY. NORMAN POLICE RESPONDED TO THIS HOME AFTER MULTIPLE SHOTS WERE FIRED IN A DRIVE-BY SHOOTING. A NEIGHBOR TOLD KOCO THEY HEARD 5 TO 7 SHOTS AN ENGINE REVVING AND TIRES SQUEALING. WHEN THEY WENT OUTSIDE, THEY SAW THE HOMEOWNER PANIC AND POLICE FLOOD THE STREETS JUST TWO HOURS LATER, NORMAN POLICE SAY AN OFFICER CAME ACROSS ANOTHER CRIME. HE WAS IN THE PARKING LOT OF THAT APARTMENT COMPLEX WHEN HE NOTICED A SUSPICIOUS INDIVIDUAL IN THE PARKING LOT THAT WAS PULLING ON DOOR HANDLES AND GETTING INTO VEHICLES, LOOKING INTO VEHICLES, ATTEMPTING TO BURGLARIZE THEM. POLICE TOLD THE SUSPECT TO STOP, BUT SAY THE TEEN TURNED AND FIRED MULTIPLE ROUNDS AT THE OFFICER THAT OFFICER THEN FIRED BACK. POLICE SAY NO ONE WAS INJURED IN THE EXCHANGE, BUT THE SUSPECT TOOK OFF AND IT WAS SEVERAL HOURS LATER, AROUND 7 A.M., THAT OUR OFFICERS WERE STILL ON SCENE INVESTIGATING WHEN THEY RECOGNIZED A VEHICLE MATCHING THE DESCRIPTION OF THE SUSPECT VEHICLE RETURNED TO THE PARKING LOT. POLICE SAY THE CAR ALSO MATCHED THE ONE WITNESSES DESCRIBED AT THE SCENE OF THE EARLIER DRIVE BY. THE TEENS WERE ARRESTED AND BOTH FACE CHARGES FOR THE DRIVE-BY SHOOTING. PLUS, ONE FACES ANOTHER CHARGE OF SHOOTING WITH INTENT TO KILL THE OFFICER. POLICE SAY THEY CAN BE TRIED AS ADULTS IF FORMALLY CHARGED. THE OFFICER THAT EXCHANGED GUNFIRE IS ON ROUTINE

Police say two teenagers could be charged as adults after a crime spree allegedly included trying to kill officers.
