1 Arrested After Norman Police Close Off Residence, Attempt To Execute Warrant

One person is in custody after Norman Police surrounded a home Wednesday morning northwest of the University of Oklahoma.

The Norman Police Department said they attempted to execute a "high-risk" search warrant at around 6 a.m., but the person inside refused to come out of the residence.

Police arrested Dustin Powell and booked him into the F. DeWayne Beggs Detention Center on the complaint of endangering others while eluding a police officer as well as for charges associated with the search warrant.
