Death, taxes, Oklahoma Sooners softball.
At this rate, that might be how we should approach the Sooners. OU pieced another dominant display together in a Saturday doubleheader.
The Sooners destroyed Weber State 16-0 and then tore apart No. 19/22 Auburn 14-0. In total, the Sooners earned an absolutely absurd 30-0 total on aggregate in the doubleheader.

OU’s dominance was perfectly described in a tweet before the final out of the Auburn game.
“Three outs away from ranked run-rule No. 4 (and season No. 16,” the Sooners tweeted. So, Oklahoma Softball has a whopping 16 run-rule victories this year and 1/4th of them have come against ranked squads.

Oklahoma has hit peak form recently as they’ve put together another incredible run. The top-ranked Sooners are 26-1 on the 2023 season. They’re a perfect 6-0 in Norman and 18-0 in neutral-site games. Their only loss of the season came on February 19 in the Getterman Classic against Big XII rival Baylor.
Since then, they’ve recorded 18 victories in a row. That includes wins over ranked teams like UCLA, Kentucky, Florida State, Northwestern, and now Auburn.
The college softball world buzzed over the absurd performance from Oklahoma.
An OU fan joked about people claiming the Sooners aren’t ready for the SEC. While they might not have been talking about softball, we’ll let it slide because trash-talk is great.
