NORFOLK, Va. – Seven student-athletes from the Norfolk State track and cross country teams were named to the 2022-23 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams, the organization announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Five student-athletes on the women's side received the honor:
Tynniesia Wilson,
Allysia Farrar,
Kara Grant,
Arieana Parker, and
Zion Smith.
Dazon Harrison and
Evans Cheruiyot represented the men's program.

The organization's all-academic teams recognize student-athletes for their combined performances in the classroom and on the playing surface. All-District honorees advance to the All-America ballot, with a chance to earn a spot on the 2022-23 CSC Academic All-America teams.

Academic All-America honors for women's cross country and track will be unveiled at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28. The men's honorees will be announced at 12 p.m. on the following day. Â
