Former Bedford coach Sefrit set to take over Clarinda boys program
(Clarinda) -- Frank Sefrit thought his coaching career was over. Sefrit recently served as head baseball and boys basketball coach at Bedford until the school opted not to renew his contract in 2022. Now, Sefrit is back as a head coach, this time 19 miles down the road in Clarinda as the boys basketball coach, where he will replace Conner Hanafan.

Nodaway Valley Boy’s Golf Earns First as Martensdale-St. Mary’s Girls Take First
(Indianola, IA) – At the Deer Run Golf Club, the Nodaway Valley boy’s golf team was able to take first place with a score of 182, beating Martensdale-St. Marys who shot a 233. Landon Klobnak was the medalist who shot a 37 overall while Zach Gebbie also shot a 44 as the runner-up. The Martensdale-St. Marys girls were able to win the girl’s matchup and featured the medalist Abigail White with a 49 while Ashlyn Gutierrez shot a 51 for Nodaway Valley. Riverside Boys Track Takes First as Griswold Girls Earn Third in Lenox CoEd Meet
(Lenox, IA) – At the Lenox CoEd Meet on Monday evening, the Riverside boy’s track and field team finished in first overall in the meet with a total of 117 points. Behind the Bulldogs was Shenandoah with 102, Mount Ayr 76, Lenox 69, Bedford 54, and Griswold 46. In the girl’s events, Bedford finished in first with 83 points, Shenandoah in second with 80, Griswold tied for third with Mount Ayr with 75, and Southwest Valley finished in fifth with 60.
