NITRO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A motor vehicle accident involving multiple cars on Thursday brought traffic along Route 25 to a standstill as the situation was addressed by responders.
The Nitro Fire Department reports that the incident, which involved two cars, saw response from the Nitro Fire Department, Saint Albans Fire Department, and Nitro Police Department.
It has been reported that, following the initial collision, one of the vehicles involved continued to drive for a mile before finally bringing their vehicle to a stop. As such, the respective vehicles in question were addressed individually by responding entities due to the extensive distance which had been put between them.
The situation purportedly shut down traffic along Route 25 for half an hour before the scene was cleared. Both drivers involved were transported from the scene to receive medical attention. At the time of writing, the condition of both drivers is unknown.
