Showcasing young business owners at annual trade show
AUSTIN, Minn. - Students in the Mower County 'Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities' or CEO program showcased their companies at its trade show on May 15. The CEO class meets five days a week for 90 minutes and counts as a year long two credit course. It gives high school students the opportunity to actually create a business and learn all of the risks, management, and results that come out of that.

Albert Lea Fire Rescue proposes community risk reduction program
(ABC 6 News) – The Albert Lea Fire Rescue is looking at ways to reduce repeat 911 calls and help enhance the quality of life for people in the community. Albert Lea’s Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Laskowski presented the idea of the program to the city council just a few weeks ago. He says it’s about bridging gaps between our community and the resources they need. Mostly, it’s about living a better life without constantly having to call 911.
