Crews clean up after storm hits downtown Marion
MARION, S.C. (WPDE) — The Marion Police and Fire Rescue Dept. worked Tuesday night to clean and assist with damage repairs after severe weather. Officials told ABC15 the storm began around 6:30 p.m. and lasted a few minutes. In that time windows were blown and several trees had fallen.

Runaway Said Raped; Two Charged
Two men from the Chadbourn area are being held under no bond after allegedly helping a teenaged girl run away from home. She was later allegedly raped by one of the men. Aldo Ismael Esparza, 20, and Gabriel Venegas Zuniga, 28, both of 49 Birchwood Trail, were arrested May 14 by the sheriff’s office. Esparza is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and second degree kidnapping. Zuniga was held for statutory rape of a child and second degree kidnapping.
