Sikorsky Lays Off Hundreds Following U.S. Army Program Cancellation
HARTFORD, CT – Sikorsky is laying off less than 1% of its workforce in response to the U.S. Army’s decision to eliminate program-making attack aircraft, officials say. While the exact number of layoffs has not been released, US Sen. Chris Murphy said in a statement on Wednesday, it amounts to as many as 400 jobs that are being eliminated.
