Par2Play Indoor Golf Facility Opens in Franklin
SOMERSET, NJ - It's tee time in Franklin. Par2Play celebrated it's grand opening on Thursday night with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring local business leaders and elected officials. "It's high-tech, it's comfortable and the staff is just so friendly," Franklin Mayor Phillip Kramer said. "I'm thrilled to be here tonight." Par2Play is the newest indoor simulated golf facility to open in Somerset County. The venue features climate-controlled simulator bays, HDTVs, and an event space suitable for gatherings of six to 40 guests. Patrons can also sign up for golf lessons from PGA level instructors. The Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce hosted the sold-out event at 695 Hamilton Street. "I had my birthday party here, it was great," FTCC Vice President William "Bill" Grippo said. "We had 50 people, I recommend if you're going ot have a party have it here."
Morris/Sussex football: Final Top 10 rankings of the 2023 season
A terrific football season in Morris and Sussex counties has come to an end. In the end, three area teams won sectional titles and two teams reached state finals in their group. Programs set new school records and half a dozen schools won division titles in the Super Football Conference.
9th-grade skater wins bronze
Two Sparta girls took part in the 2024 Eastern Sectional Singles Final ice skating competition Oct. 31-Nov. 4 in Coral Springs, Fla. Paige Parlapiano, a freshman at Sparta High School, won the bronze medal and qualified for the 2024 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships and National Development Camp. It will be held in late January in Columbus, Ohio.
