Rain subsiding but more storms possible Friday
DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)– We are seeing a break in severe weather and rain for the time being as the MCS (Mesoscale Convective System) has finally moved through our area. Rain chances will remain on the lower side but an isolated shower cannot be ruled out today. Today rain will subside for our morning, and then we will warm up into the low 80s.
Another round of thunderstorms and heavy rain likely early Tuesday
DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)– Following a widespread 1-2″ of rainfall on Monday, a temporary break from the active weather is in store for the Wiregrass. The rest of Monday evening will be filled with overcast skies and passing light showers. Temperatures will remain cool but steady in the mid-60s. Ozark motel could have business license revoked
OZARK, Ala (WDHN) — A motel in Dale County may be out of business after a year-long fight with local authorities over alleged safety violations. The Ozark City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 21, at 5:00 p.m. to discuss revoking the business license for Days Inn on Highway 231 in Ozark, owned by Namaste Hospitality, LLC.
Toddler air-lifted, mother dead in Ft. Novosel wreck
DALE COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) - One woman is dead and a toddler is in critical condition after a one-vehicle crash happened on Fort Novosel late Thursday night. Kimberly Nicole Ingram (23) of Ozark was pronounced dead around 11:55 p.m. after her Dodge Avenger left the road and struck a tree on Highway 27, Dale County Coroner John Cawley said.

Update: Flash flood warning expected to expire at 12:30 p.m.
The warning was for Coffee and Geneva counties. "The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
