A Message from Marin County Flood Control

Marin County Flood Control is placing sandbags along the north bank of the Coyote Creek levee next to Cardinal Road and downstream from the Flamingo Road bridge in preparation for high tides identified in a coastal advisory. There is a significant amount of work underway countywide, and the Flood Control District team is working to sequence these sandbag deployments based on existing protection elevations, field conditions, and relative flood risk so we can address the most vulnerable areas first. Note that County crews cannot install sandbags or perform flood-protection work on individual private properties.
