Campbell punched its ticket to the Division VII Regional Championship on Thursday night with a hard-fought four-set victory over Mogadore, taking down the Wildcats 25-19, 26-24, 22-25, 25-22 at Mansfield Senior High School.Coming off the first district championship in program history, Campbell kept its magical postseason run rolling with another impressive performance, improving to 21-5 on the season and moving just one victory away from a trip to the state semifinals. The Red Devils came out swinging in the opening set, establishing their offensive rhythm and taking control with a 25-19 victory. Mogadore refused to go quietly in the second, pushing Campbell to the brink in a back-and-forth battle before the Red Devils delivered the finishing touches for a 26-24 win and a commanding two-set advantage. With its season hanging in the balance, Mogadore responded in the third set, battling back from an early deficit to claim a 25-22 victory and force a fourth. The Wildcats continued to apply pressure in the final frame, but Campbell’s offensive firepower and defensive determination proved too much as the Red Devils closed out the match with a 25-22 victory.Sophomore Jada Smith was a force at the net for Campbell, leading the Red Devils with a match-high 19 kills while adding four service aces. Smith was particularly dangerous down the stretch, delivering eight kills in the fourth set alone to help Campbell slam the door on Mogadore’s comeback hopes.Elysia Rudolphi turned in another outstanding all-around performance, hammering home 15 kills while anchoring the defense with a remarkable 32 digs. Rudolphi also contributed three service aces, giving Campbell a tremendous two-way presence throughout the four-set battle.Jayla Burt continued to make her presence felt at the net, finishing with seven kills and a team-high three blocks. Burt’s contributions were especially important in the tightly contested second set, where her back-to-back kills helped Campbell gain an advantage in the closing moments.Running the show offensively was Daja Will, who dished out 40 assists while adding two blocks. Will’s ability to distribute the ball and keep Mogadore’s defense guessing helped Campbell maintain its offensive balance throughout the night. The Red Devils also received tremendous contributions from their back-row defense. Bella Felix collected 21 digs, while Kayla Coriano added 16, combining with Rudolphi to give Campbell three players with double-digit digs and helping the Red Devils withstand Mogadore’s persistent attacks. For Mogadore, the loss brought an impressive season to a close at 20-6. The Wildcats, making their first regional appearance since 1985, showed plenty of fight behind the efforts of Kaitlyn Clester, Emma Butler, and libero Gracie Shull, but couldn’t overcome Campbell’s relentless attack. The victory marks another milestone in what has already become the greatest postseason run in Campbell Memorial volleyball history. After rallying from two sets down to defeat Open Door Christian in the district championship, the Red Devils have now added a regional semifinal victory to their growing list of accomplishments.Campbell will now square off against Westerville Northside Christian in the Division VII Regional Championship on Saturday, November 7, at 2:00 p.m. at Mansfield Senior High School. With a trip to the state semifinals on the line, the Red Devils will look to keep their historic run alive and take another step toward the ultimate prize.</div></body>
