He said it did not slow down from there!“I’m sure we have had about 150 to 200 kids,” Shane said. His wife, Kiera Steen, agreed, adding that the event’s high attendance makes participating every year special.“I love seeing the kid’s excitement to come and I enjoy seeing all the costumes they come up with. This year we are having a Best Decorated Trunk contest. At the end of the night, we will go through the votes and announce our top three winners,” Kiera said. “It is Wallace Fire Rescue’s way of giving back to the volunteers who helped make their second annual trunk or treat successful.”Gabby Lozano, who helped hand out candy for the event both years, said her favorite costume of the night was Hannibal Lector.Attendees Chesica Stewart and her daughter Stormie came last year and couldn’t resist coming back again. “I love that Wallace Fire Rescue puts this on and supports our kids. It really is such a great event for families and kids,” Stewart said.Never missing an opportunity to support fellow first responders or spend time with their community, the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office was also on hand to give out candy.Lt. Stubbs said his favorite costume of the night was a little cow, while Inv. Church said his favorite was the bumblebee.</div></body>
