It was a fairly festive atmosphere with food provided for by the Warsaw Knights of Columbus and Fat and Happy Catering from Bliss. Also on hand were wine tastings and specials prizes, and of course tastings of the stores own bourbon distilled specifically for them in Kentucky.“Every barrel is different,” said Store Manager Tom Cook, who again made the trip to Yellowstone Distillery in Lebanon, Kentucky. “The experience of going down to Kentucky. It’s an experience of going down there. The flavor is different every time.”The “mash” as he calls it is made of specific amounts of grain, corn, rye and malted barley. For this flavor, “You’re getting vanilla, oak and creaminess, from there it’s moved to the Rickhouse and aged. This one is six and a half years old.”For Owner Tom Sylvester of Perry, who first opened the store with his wife Ariana 14 years ago, “This is one of our favorite things to do,” he said, adding how appreciative they are of the customer loyalty they receive. “We have guys coming from all over the area year after year. To me, that is really cool.”The bourbon distilled specifically for the occasion is unique to the store, with the barrel usually producing about 200 bottles which are drawn straight from it and will continue to be sold until gone.</div></body>
